Canggu House, Bali
557m2 / 60sqs
Bali is no longer just associated with traditional timber shacks but exciting luxurious Western Architecture with pleasing Balinese touches.
The house seeks to be minimalist modern in design with traditional features being reinterpreted throughout.
The visitor enters the property between symmetrically balanced ponds and a mandatory temple. The house is then entered through antique carved Balinese doors which open onto an imposing double storey entry.
Traditional Balinese motif screens appear on the projecting master ensuite at the front of the house and on the rear balconies. These are movable to provide shade and privacy. All living and bedroom spaces have been laid out with a central focus on the pool and surrounds.
Building in Bali can be achieved successfully through careful planning and the right builder together with on-site supervision. 3 on-site visits were made.
